Hello! My name is Molly Blanco, and I am an award-winning journalist located in Iowa. Currently, I am a senior writer for Better Homes & Gardens, where I write about the best products for your home.

Before joining the BHG team, I worked on the Commerce Research and Testing team at People Inc., America's largest digital and print publisher. There, I gained experience in product testing and contributed to more than 300 tests for home products. I have also written articles for Real Simple and The Spruce and contributed research and interviews for articles published in People, Southern Living, InStyle and more. 

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Iowa State University, where I received a bachelor's degree in journalism with a second major in Spanish and a minor in sociology. In college, I was the managing editor for the Iowa State Daily student newspaper, where I managed a team of 70+ reporters and editors. I also interned as a reporter at the Harlan Newspapers in Harlan, Iowa, where I gained valuable experience working in a local newsroom and serving a small community. ​​
