My Ethics Code
RESPONSIBILITY TO THE TRUTH
Journalists have a responsibility to uncover, verify and report the truth in all circumstances. The truth must prevail, even when it is unpleasant or controversial. As a journalist, I will avoid bias in my work and represent all sides fairly.

RESPECTFUL CURIOSITY
I believe every journalist has a deeply curious nature, but we must exercise restraint and respect in the pursuit of information. I believe journalists should pursue leads rigorously but thoughtfully. It is essential to consider multiple angles to a story and acknowledge the myriad of factors that influence reporting in order to approach topics with sensitivity and respect.

COMMITMENT TO LEARNING AND GROWTH
As a journalist, I am committed to continuous learning. I believe journalists should never stop learning and growing from their experiences. We must acknowledge and promptly correct our mistakes and learn from our failures. Journalists should be willing to accept criticism, learn from others and adapt to changes in the field.

DEDICATION AND PERSISTENCE
I believe journalists should pursue every ethical avenue to report issues of importance to the public. Journalists should be dedicated and persistent in their search for the truth and diligently verify facts to ensure accuracy.

HONESTY, ACCURACY AND TRANSPARENCY
Journalists must be precise and careful with their language. They must verify information and report facts accurately. I believe journalists should be as honest and transparent as possible about their reporting methods. We must pursue the truth ethically and be willing to share our methods with the public. Journalists should not engage in any activity that opposes their morals or violates the values of their organization.
